Roshni started singing at the age of fifteen when she joined the Senior Choir of Holy Family Convent, Colombo 04, and is a founder member of Soul Sounds. She is passionate about dancing, singing, theatre, and photography and is also an animal lover. Roshni trains in professional Ballroom and Latin American dancing under Kevin Nugara and competes in local and international Dancesport Championships.

Her love for theatre was nurtured when she participated in Shakespeare Drama Competitions while in school and she took part in the musical Smike directed by Jerome L. de Silva in 1999. Since then, she has been actively involved in many theatre productions in Sri Lanka, including Venice and Noir Theatre Festival directed and organised by Feroze Kamardeen, Move over Mrs. Markham, A Christmas Carol and Sherlock Holmes’ Secret Life directed by Jehan Bastians, Pyramus and Thysby directed by Jehan Aloysius, and Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar directed by Jerome L. de Silva.

Roshni has a degree in English Honours from the University of Colombo, and has experience as a Public Relations Consultant. She currently works at a local non-profit organization. Roshni conducts dance-101 classes at the academy.
