Heshinee’s musical journey began over a decade ago at Soul Sounds Academy, where her passion for music took flight. Before joining the acclaimed all-female ensemble Soul Sounds, she showcased her vocal talents at events like the World Choir Games in South Africa (2018) and the Vietnam Children’s TV festival as a member of the Soul Sounds Academy Children’s Choir. Her early experiences as a chorister at St. Bridget’s Convent and leading her church choirs from a young age laid a strong foundation for her love of music and performance.
Today, Heshinee is a dedicated member of the academy’s vocal department, where she imparts her musical knowledge and leads the young voices of the Soul Sounds Academy choir, which recently made a mark at the Bali International Choir Festival 2023. In addition to her role at the academy, she serves as the Music Coordinator for the University of Colombo’s Catholic Student Movement and is currently specializing in English as she embarks on her second year at the Colombo University’s Arts faculty. Her journey is a testament to her enduring commitment to music and the performing arts.
