Ashvinie Ekanayake is a 21 year old who studied at St Bridget’s Convent Colombo 7. From a young age, she found herself drawn to the world of music and her journey in music began over 12 years ago when she joined The Soul Sounds Academy, starting from the children’s choir to the soul sounds academy choir and finally as apart of Sri Lanka’s female ensemble, Soul Sounds . Over the years, Ashvinie has had the privilege of performing on international stages, including the World Choir Games in South Africa (2018) and the Vietnam Children’s TV Festival, as part of the Soul Sounds Academy Children’s Choir. she also performed at the Bali International Choir Festival in 2023 and proudly represented Sri Lanka at the World Choir Games in New Zealand this year. These opportunities have further enriched her skills and solidified her passion for music. Today, Ashvinie channels her love for music into teaching at The Soul Sounds Academy, where she plays a pivotal role in guiding the young talents of the academy’s choir. In addition to her role at the academy, she is a preschool teacher at ABC School of Early Learning, where she applies her passion for nurturing young minds. Ashvinie is also specializing in Early Childhood Education at Prospects College of Higher Education, embodying a commitment to fostering both the intellectual and artistic development of children.
